

Clyde belonged to IOOF, or the International Order of Odd Fellows, a fraternal organization that engaged in a variety of social and charitable activities. The Utah Odd Fellows built their hall in downtown Salt Lake. The article I found on the Internet said that IOOF excluded Mormons and Catholics from membership and that members were largely Protestant and Jewish, however, Grandpa was a Mormon at that time. His in-laws, the Olesons, were involved in leadership as was Grandpa himself. The newspaper clippings above show his involvement. On April 28, 2009, the building was preserved and moved across the street. Here is a link to a youtube movie showing it:
